A PICTURE PERFECT SMILE WITH

Porcelain Veneers

Durable and incredibly natural-looking, veneers can be shaped to correct a multitude of problems. They are an ideal choice for improving your smile and have become increasingly popular due to their simplicity and versatility.

If aesthetic cosmetic dentistry is artistry, then porcelain veneers are the medium with which Dr. Weinstock and Dr. Waasdorp create masterpieces. Placing custom veneers requires a high degree of technical skill as well as attention to cosmetic detail. Dr. Weinstock and Dr. Waasdorp routinely place veneers, and design each case individually to match and enhance characteristics already present in each patient’s teeth.

WHAT IS A PORCELAIN VENEER?

A veneer is a very thin porcelain facing that will cover the front of a tooth hiding almost any imperfection. This thin shell is permanently bonded to the front of the tooth. Porcelain is very similar in appearance to a real tooth so this kind of restoration will look completely natural. You won’t even notice they are there while talking or eating. A dental veneer is a permanent, irreversible dental restoration that is highly stain resistant. They eliminate the worry of your teeth turning yellow over time. Durable and incredibly natural-looking, veneers can be shaped to correct a multitude of problems. They are an ideal choice for improving your smile and have become increasingly popular due to their simplicity and versatility.

PORCELAIN VENEERS CAN TREAT:

  • Whiten stained teeth
  • Restore teeth to their most attractive shape (longer, wider, shorter or narrower)
  • Repair chipped or broken teeth
  • Straighten the appearance of crooked or overlapped teeth

WHAT TO EXPECT

Dr. Weinstock and Dr. Waasdorp only work with one of the finest dental labs in the world. These master technicians handcraft each individual veneer for optimal shading and characterization. Most importantly, these craftsmen share our doctors' exceedingly high standards for exceptional quality.

The dental veneer procedure will usually take two or three visits to our dentist office. The dental veneer process begins with the preparation of the surface of your tooth. Dr. Weinstock or Dr. Waasdorp will prepare your teeth by removing a small amount of tooth surface. This provides space for the dental veneer. Meanwhile, your custom designed veneer will be fabricated to your unique specifications using the highest quality ceramics, color matched to your natural appearance.

Once the teeth are properly prepared, the custom designed veneer will be permanently bonded to your tooth. The veneer will cover the front and sides of your tooth or teeth for a long lasting and permanent cosmetic restoration.

HOW TO CARE FOR PORCELAIN VENEERS

Caring for your new teeth veneers is simple; just follow a typical oral hygiene routine. Brush and floss your teeth every day and visit Dr. Weinstock or Dr. Waasdorp twice a year. The best part about dental veneers is that they are not susceptible to decay so there is no threat of getting a cavity. Porcelain veneers are designed to last for many years and with proper care and maintenance, they can last a long time.
