The office of Dr. David Weinstock and Dr. Jonathan Waasdorp offers emergency dental care services for patients in the Philadelphia area at our Devon, PA dentist office.
Whether you are a new patient or a returning patient our staff will do everything they can to see you the same day. If your emergency is happening during business hours, contact our Devon dentist office to schedule an appointment.
If your emergency occurs after hours, please call the offices of Dr. David Weinstock and Dr. Jonathan Waasdorp and leave a voicemail. We will return your message as soon as possible and make every attempt to schedule your appointment the next day.
If you are experiencing excessive bleeding or pain, please call 911.
In the case of a dental emergency call our office as soon as possible. Most dental concerns will become worse with time. Seeking treatment as soon as possible will allow for the most conservative and effective treatment. If you are experiencing a dire emergency dial 911.
NEVER attempt to reach your crown or filling by yourself. Do NOT glue your restoration back to your tooth. In many cases, the dental restoration is unable to be reused, however, if it is possible to find the restoration you can bring it with you to your dentist appointment. Dr. Weinstock or Dr. Waasdorp can fabricate and fit you with a new dental restoration.
If your tooth has been knocked out contact our dentist office immediately. If possible, retrieve the lost tooth. Hold the tooth only by the crown and try to preserve as much as the root structure as possible.
While it is okay to rinse the tooth, never scrub the tooth. Place the tooth in a cup of saliva or milk to transport it to the dentist, as recommended by the ADA. A tooth may be able to be replaced within one hour of loss. If the tooth is unable to be rescued, Dr. Weinstock and Dr. Waasdorp offer dental procedures such as dental implants, dental bridges, and dentures to replace missing teeth.
A common dental emergency is severe tooth pain. There are a whole range of dental concerns that cause toothaches. Tooth decay or an abscess may be the culprit.
Persistent pain should be addressed by Dr. Weinstock or Dr. Waasdorp as soon as possible.
If you are experiencing swelling, apply a cold compress to the affected area to reduce discomfort while you wait to see the dentist.
A broken denture or bridge can often be repaired. If possible bring the broken appliance with you to your dentist appointment. Dr. Weinstock or Dr. Waasdorp will assess the situation and help you to determine the best treatment plan.
