Dentures & Partials

DENTURES AND PARTIALS

Dentures are the traditional method of replacing a full arch or full set of missing teeth. One of the biggest complaints from denture wearers is that they look fake and artificial in appearance. This can cause patients to feel self-conscience and unwilling to smile. With advancements in dental technology and improvements in the quality of dental materials, dentures are now more natural looking and better fitting.

Dentures provide a cost effective way to replace multiple missing teeth. They are custom made artificial teeth that will replace several or all of your missing teeth and some of the gum tissue. Dr. Weinstock and Dr. Waasdorp offer several options for replacing missing teeth and will work with each patient on an individual basis to determine the best route of treatment. Whether you choose dentures, implant secured dentures, or another missing tooth replacement option, Dr. Weinstock or Dr. Waasdorp will help you restore the function and health to your smile.

Dr. Weinstock and Dr. Waasdorp are highly trained prosthodontist with over 25 years of experience replacing missing teeth. He has undergone extensive training specifically in the art and skill of replacing missing teeth. Dr. Weinstock or Dr. Waasdorp’s custom fabricated dentures will fit aesthetically with your facial proportions for a balanced and beautiful smile.

WHAT TO EXPECT

DENTURES AND PARTIALS

Your denture will be custom designed by Dr. David Weinstock or Dr. Jonathan Waasdorp. Our doctors will design a denture that fits securely and looks natural so you can enjoy a confident smile. The design plans for your denture will be sent to our local dental lab to be fabricated.

Once fabricated, Dr. Weinstock or Dr. Waasdorp will ensure that you are satisfied with the fit and look of your denture.

TYPES OF DENTURES

Full Dentures – These are for patients missing an entire arch of teeth, either on top or bottom. They are typically made of plastic base that is colored to blend in with the gums. This base is designed to stay in place by forming a seal with your gums.

Partial Dentures – Partials are either made with a plastic base or metal framework that will support the number of teeth missing. These are designed to stay in place with clasps and rests that will form around the remaining teeth.

DENTAL IMPLANT SECURED DENTURES

If you choose to secure your dentures with dental implants your procedure will begin with the surgical implantation of the dental implants. Dental implant secured dentures or All on Four requires strategic planning and utilizes the healthiest parts of the jaw bone for a successful result.

Prosthodontists Dr. Weintstock and Dr. Waasdorp offer years of experience using the All-on-4 dental implants technique. Patients who choose dental implant secured dentures enjoy many added oral health and lifestyle benefits compared to traditional dentures.

BENEFITS OF IMPLANT SECURED DENTURES

  • Permanent restoration
  • Helps retain jaw structure
  • Encourages natural bone regeneration
  • Look and feel like natural teeth
  • Natural function, no food restrictions
  • No slipping
  • No special maintenance or care
